These pictures were taken by Jeremy Sherer, Nicki’s brother and now my brother-in-law. We were very happy and mildly surprised to see Jeremy, his wife Christy, and his daughter Ryland all together at the wedding ceremony as Ryland was born a few short weeks earlier.

The wedding cake has been ordered. To give you an idea of what it will look like we’re posting a couple pictures. The arrangement will look like the first picture but the decoration will look like the second with one exception. Instead of the blue frosting it will be more of a garnet or crimson red to match Nicki’s dress. There will be different cake topper decoration used.

Samantha of His Hands Photography has uploaded more pictures for our perusal. As you can see, she has a great eye and did an excellent job of capturing the essence and beauty of my bride-to-be.
All pictures to date added and compiled to gallery in previous post.

Here are a few pictures from the pre-wedding picture shoot. The pictures were taken by His Hands Photography. We will have a full review of this company soon but will say now that Samantha, the photographer for His Hands Photography, was quite the professional with great attention to detail. It was a great experience that had Nicki beaming and me proud and happy for her. His Hands Photography is a local Birmingham, Alabama company. If you’re in need of a photographer now don’t wait on the full review. Visit their site and let them know we sent you.

It was one of those parenting moments where my answer could have gone either way. Jessica saw this costume and another leopard print skimpy-looking adultish costume in child size (another rant for another time) at Walmart and I decided to let her have it. I was a little surprised at myself, too. Maybe I was simply relieved to have her want this over the leopard print skimpy costume which she was never ever going to get. Maybe it was because it looked like something Nicki, my beloved fiance, would get a kick out of. Mostly I believe it was because I know Jessica has a great loving heart and tries so hard to do the right things in life. For this reason I allowed her to get the “bad girl” costume.
Of course, I also purchased a pretty “princess dress” costume for another Halloween function Jessica isn’t yet aware of. Will post that picture at a later date.

Today we are having pictures taken in our wedding attire at the Botanical Gardens. We will post pictures later as well as a review of the local company taking the pictures. Nicki is excited to get the pictures taken and I’m excited for it to be one more task we get accomplished.
Gotta go. Getting the evil “we gotta go now” eye. *waves*

Several people have asked us if we’re registered anywhere. A couple months ago we looked at registries and even picked out some gifts that would be nice to receive if someone was so inclined but, later, we abandoned the registry idea. At the moment we just don’t have the room in our home for anything. Our immediate concerns are the costs associated with the wedding, the honeymoon, and after that, saving for a house (with room to eventually put nice things
).
