Can you tell me why CCleaner wants to modify the contents of a certain folder, is this correct please as i’m always having to do scannow and replace files that have been changed and i’m confused.

Can you tell me why CCLeaner tries to modify the contents of a file as i’m cleaning out…i’ve always allowed it but then later i have to use my CD to restore the Windows files back to normal.

Which folder is being cleaned out that you are not wanting cleaned out? CCleaner has many options for cleaning out junk files and each is selectable/deselectable, including a section for custom files/folders to remove. If you have a custom folder selection that is unchecked and it is still being deleted try installing the latest version : CCleaner 2.12.660 (http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/). If this is the problem and it persists either let me know or the program’s creator as it may be a bug.
