I haven’t seen anything this bad from Danny Devito since Batman Returns.

Danny DeVito says he and George Clooney had a long night out last night — and by the look of things on “The View” this morning, it caught up with him.

DeVito, appearing as a guest on the show to plug his latest comedy, “Deck the Halls,” told the View gals that he might not have gotten to sleep just yet … before the 10 AM taping.

Then, cursing his seventh limoncello (a lemon liqueur) from the night before, DeVito went on an extended, Three Stooges-esque rant against President Bush, much of which was bleeped out by network censors. He also talked about making full use of the Lincoln Bedroom in the White House when he and wife Rhea Perlman stayed there.

3DMark06 has been updated to Build 1.1.0 and PCMark05 was updated to build 1.20

Saratoga, California USA – November 29, 2006 – Futuremark Corporation today released free updates to its 3DMark06, 3DMark05 and PCMark05 benchmark suites. The 3DMark series is the worldwide industry standard PC benchmark series for objectively measuring and comparing DirectX 3D performance. PCMark05 is positioned as an overall system performance analysis tool for home PCs. Futuremark’s PCMark and 3DMark products have generated over 13 million performance results.

Downloadable patches update 3DMark06 to version 1.1.0 and PCMark05 to version 1.2.0. A downloadable full installer updates 3DMark05 to version 1.3.0. Only scores obtained via these new versions, using approved drivers, will be used in official statistics, comparisons and services provided by Futuremark.

Back in November of ‘05 CHUD broke the news that Sony Pictures was working on a remake of Robocop with Hollywood legend Michael DeLuca, New Line’s former president of production. No details were revealed other than the unofficial (and confirmed) announcement. While dozens of remakes are seeing green, we’ve been informed that the Robocop remake has been told to “freeze.” “The studio no longer has interest in the remake,” our anonymous scooper informs us. We also discovered that everyone involved in the original film (including Jon Davison and Ed Neumeier) were talking to the studio about being involved in the remake. In the original 1987 film, a terminally wounded cop returns to the force as a powerful cyborg with submerged memories haunting him.

I recently bought an Nvidia 8800 GTX card, but had just a bit of trouble getting it to compile, install, and run under Linux.
I’ve written this tutorial to make it a piece of cake for whoever else may try.

Here are the steps:
1. Download the driver that supports your card.
2. Update your kernel
3. Install the kernel-devel package corresponding to your kernel
4. Install the pkgconfig and xorg-x11-server-sdk packages
5. Prepare your system for trouble
6. Install the driver
7. Setup your X server configuration.
8. Troubleshooting

Note for almost all of these instructions, you will need to be logged in as root. Whenever I tell you to run a command, I mean to open a terminal window, type it in, and press enter.

The Cheap Holiday Games of Old.

The holiday season has come once again, and there are games galore. With such a large amount of games being produced every year, and the new consoles, some games are bound to escape our clutches.

Here is my list of cheap ass games for what ever reason either escaped my claws or good games that most people probably never even tried.

Aggressive Inline
Alien Hominid - A fast paced action game that’s hard as heck, but makes for some fun.
Animal Crossings – Only for the socially inept.
Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean – One of the best card based games I’ve played. Beautiful scenery, story felt fake, but I still plan to beat it.
Battalion Wars
Beyond Good and Evil – A much better game than I thought it would be. 3rd person action RPG that’s worth going through once.
Def Jam: Fight for NY
Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem – Beat it 3 times just so I could see each ending. Definitely one of the top games for Gamecube only.
Extreme-G 3 – Love futuristic racing games, but don’t like F-Zero? Well here you go.
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles – 3rd person action RPG made by SquareEnix. Controller for 1 player, or multiple Gameboy Advance systems for multiplayer.
